London Magician @ Camden Market Cereal Killer Cafe
On Saturday I was with two other magicians at Coombe Boys School for a night of Close Up Magic followed by a 20 minute stage show. We did Close Up at three different tables and every 12 minutes we rotated so all tables saw three different Magicians, doing various bits of Close Up Magic. We all then did a 20 minute Magic Show on stage and they were blown away by the levitation effect.
On Saturday I had a Close Up Magic Show for a group of girls celebrating a birthday party in the Cereal Killer Cafe. When the booking was made I wrote down in my diary "Serial Killer Cafe" and thought it was a bit of a macarbe place to hold a celebration. I was expecting to find pictures of The Yorshire Ripper on the wall and Charles Manson. Imagine my surprise when I entered and found you were able to have 144 different kinds of cereal on offer and and walls covered with Cereal Boxes past and present. Great friendly place and worth a visit if you're up in Camden Market Stables area.
The girls loved the Magic show and Close Up Magic especially the Mind-Reading and Money Making Machine which made their minds boggle.
On Sunday I had a first birthday party in Central London. Great house and on every level there were different activities for the children of all ages. In the basement was a Magic Fairy who was looking after the toddlers and doing a photo booth shoot with everyone. On the first floor was a face painter doing Magical designs on their faces and I was on the second floor doing a Magic Show and Close Up Magic. Their three year old was so engrossed with lights that magically appeared at the end of my fingers and then disappeared and came out of his ear that he wants me to come back to his party in December for another Magic Show.
